Solstice Academy follows Shelton Public Schools regarding weather-related district closures.
Please send:
- A change of clothes
- Pull-ups or diapers (if applicable)
- Refillable water bottle or sippy cup
- Preferred eating utensils or feeding items
- Backpack labeled with your child’s name.
The school day runs from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM. Students may be dropped off beginning at 8:25 AM.
Changes to transportation services must be coordinated through your child’s Local Education Agency (LEA). Parents should also notify their child’s Special Education Teacher/Case Manager of any transportation changes.
Your first point of contact should be your child’s Special Education Teacher/Case Manager. Together, we will determine the appropriate next steps, including whether a meeting or PPT (Planning and Placement Team meeting) is needed.
A medication authorization form completed by your child’s physician must be on file before medication can be administered at school.
No. Students may not bring personal cell phones or electronic devices to school. Students may bring their AAC device if used for communication purposes.
Yes. Parents are welcome to visit the school with advance notice.
Yes. Please notify your child’s Special Education Teacher/Case Manager before dismissal. The designated individual must present valid identification at pickup.
